Pet’s Name: Maddox
Hi, my name is Maddox, and I’m a 9 year old shepherd/pug/beagle mix. I love rawhides, but I don’t really have any favorite toys. My mom wanted a companion for their other dog Shannon (who passed away 2 years ago), and she saw me at a rescue organization shelter. They tried me out, and I was a perfect fit for Shannon and the family! People would be surprised to know that I have a very paternal side. I like to nurture other dogs, and I take responsibility if they “act up” and get into mischief! I love coming to Animal Central because of the big, outside play yards and all the extra attention I get from everyone here. I love to take walks and to play with other dogs. My favorite non-human buddy and the dog I admire most is my sister Lola, but don’t tell her that! My mom, Sally, Lola, and my great niece, Ellie, love me the most. My first mentor was Shannon, and I sure do miss her. My favorite memory was when I first met my mom, and I jumped up and laid my head on her shoulder. My mom says that I never smell bad and that I have the best smelling fur of any dog she has ever known. That’s because I am quite the “dandy,” and I’m always cleaning my paws…hey, I like to be clean, I’m a gentleman! Bring your dog on by Animal Central so we can have a great time playing!
